K'NEX INSET Duration: Full or half day Who is it for: Family Learning tutors, training managers and co-ordinators, KS1, 2, 3 teachers, DT co-ordinators and TAs. What's it about: Learning the basics of K'NEX, its uses, limitations and associated terminology. Understanding K'NEX in an educational setting, how best to set and use challenges, recognise the cross curricula and employability links. Hints and tips for successful delivery and accredited course information. The use of motors and computer control is included in the full day course. Using ONA/TNA Duration: Full day Who is it for: Senior managers, curriculum leaders What's it about: Understanding the difference between Organisation Needs Analysis and Training Needs Analysis. Understanding and using both effectively to build strong teams, with capacity and capability. Tools and strategies for successful development are explored. Understanding effective employability provision Duration: Full day Who is it for: Senior managers, curriculum leaders What's it about: Understanding this emerging provision and how best to build sustainable provision. Looking at partnerships with employers, JCP, developing work placements, using labour market information, using customer relationship management tools, and exploring accreditation that works. Embedding Skills for Life, a whole organisation approach Duration: Full day Who is it for: Senior managers, curriculum leaders What's it about: Understanding the benefits of embedding and how to build sustainable provision. Looking at partnerships integrally and externally, using awareness training and strategies for promoting, understanding TNA, initial and diagnostic assessment and what that means for NVQ and other accredited provision.
